At this point in the novel, swenison is starting to become obsessed with Angela. He wants to know everything about her. He also wants to know if she is lying to him. I am also getting the feeling like he trying to see if the parents will like him back

ReplyDeleteI agree with you that Swenson is becoming obsessed with Angela. But I don't he's trying to get her parents to like him. Instead, I believe he's trying to milk information out of them in the most unnoticeable way to see if he's the teacher in Angela's novel. He's also trying to put two and two together to see if certain parts in her novel are factual. Such as the doctor and his moody wife which wasn't true at all.
