ReplyDeleteI agree with you that Lola is tired if the same of the same boring guys she's been with. But I don't think she's using him because of wanting something new but because she wants attention and popularity. Everyone in the town knows Professor Rath and knows that he's very intelligent and prestigious. In the movie, Prof gets into a scuffle with the sailor and when the police come instead of arresting the Prof they arrest the sailor instead. This was a prime example of his popularity. I think all Lola was attracted to was his popularity and excitement.
