Chapter 2 pg 16-18

The author seems to foreshadow some sort of punishment for the thief. The thief’s actions are morally wrong as they seem to make him think about consequences and ways to justify himself. He goes blind and immediately becomes paranoid immediately. Being that he is stealing for a blind person makes this ironic and a exact representation of karma.

  1. Hi Isaiah:

I thought the exact same thing, that the thief becoming blind was karma. He could've avoided his bad karma if he listened to conscious. Especially when he was trying so hard to come up such an elaborate scheme to avoid the police and not get arrested.
