Final Week

This week of the blog is optional. Anyone who posts will get extra credit. Some things you may want to write about:

  • What were your favorite aspects of the class? What were your least favorite? What did you learn? What do you still need to work on?
  • What was your favorite text that was read on the last day of class? Give a shout out to your favorite fellow writers.
  • How do you feel about your final collection? Have you ever written so much before?

  1. I found learning about paintings very interesting. I enjoyed looking at them in class and writing the first thing that came to mind. Class discussions were another aspect of this class that I liked. In a class room there are different people with differing viewpoints. This allows the class discussions to become very productive. I learned a lot in this class. Such as, poems should not be centered. I also learned that I should give proof for my writing. This is something I need to work on and hope to improve on in the future. The semester in this class was an overall good experience. It was very educational but in a fun way. I had more interactions with fellow students in this class than any other class this semester.

  2. My favorite aspects of this class was the class discussions when we able to through videos and the books that was required to us.but I learn how to write better poems then I was able to before and to have better understanding why the authors use the opening stories or novels to make us the readers to think or wander what happen next it help me to make my short stories for my collection .

  3. My favorite aspects of this class were mostly during the Tuesday sessions. I really enjoyed coming into class and have group discussions on the reading that we had to do prior. I enjoyed the assigned readings for the most part. mY favorite was The Blue Angel. So being able to talk with others about a text I like and discuss what was noticed in the text was very entertaining. My least favorite aspect of the class were the group critiques. I was comfortable with the people I worked with for the semester but I feel like the group critiques weren't really useful as I didn't get the constructive criticism that I expected if I were to go directly to the professor with my work. On the last day of class, I enjoyed Veronica's poem (I believe it was a poem) on happiness. I don't remember her exact words but it was a line she had said that touched home for me and I really liked it. I feel like my final collection was well constructed and well written. I took my time with it just like I did with my midterm collection. This was my last English class and I was determined to leave with A so I made sure to do this collection to my fullest potential and not be lazy. In the end my hard work paid off as I got the grade that I wanted and deserved. I never written so much before. Well I have but not for only one class. But it was something new and was good exposure and preparation for future assignments that I may have in other classes that would require even more writing.
