I believe that in this scene Lola is trying to seduce the professor. We can clearly see that Lola makes the professor nervous, Lola is aware of this fact and tries to take advantage of the situation. i do not think that Lola sincerely likes the professor i think she just wanted to see how far she could get with him and he was very easy to manipulate and very gull-able. As a middle aged man he spent most of his time at the college and never really had time to find love. at this point he was desperate and was willing to even try giving someone like Lola a chance.
