Scene from Blue Angel

Lola Lola and the rest of the workers at the Blue Angel greeted the Professor in a nice way and they bring him in, openly. They give him peace and quiet with Lola Lola and this causes him to be swept by the gaze and the treatment he received from them. He felt as if they would always give him that respect and he would be treated with dignity. Later, he has the same sad expression that the clown has when he is dressed as a clown. This counters his previous thoughts and he became delirious and crazy, to the extent he attacked everyone. Unlike the beginning of the movie, where he attacked the captain of the ship for mistreating Lola, he attacked Lola for relatively cheating on him. I believe that, at this point, he knew he made a bad inference and he knew that he would never be able to uplift himself again. Thoughts like these lead him to go to the classroom so where he appears to die.
