to me it was very interesting to see how when you do something that you know you should not be doing nothing goes as planned. we can see that because the professor had sex with Angela he was gritting his teeth so hard that his molar broke. I took that as something that he deserved. i dont believe that he had any reason to cheat on his wife. While we read we can tell that she is a woman that genuinely cares about him. She listens to his daily rants, she cooks for him, she takes care of him, and the list goes on. i dont think that he truly cares about his wife bcause you dont try to hurt or destroy the person that you love. love s patient, kind and forgiving but i dont think that in a relationship you should have to forgive your partner for cheating on you. when people cheat they should definetly think about the consequences and they should keep in mind that eventually their partners will find out. As for Swensen, he should be preppared for his wife to find out and accept the consequences of his wife finding out. I beieve that after being married to someone for so long this just is not fair to her, i imagine she will be devestated.

This is a good response, Suzette. I wonder, do all cheaters really not love their partners? Is it possible to both love your partner and also destroy your relationship? I ask this b/c I feel convinced that Swenson does love Sherrie. He loves her and still cheats on her.
